Being a yellowy pink when first cut but becoming deep reddish brown and getting darker and richer with age Cherry is a very popular, highly valued timber used for high quality cabinet making and high class joinery, also used extensively in the making of veneers. Straight grained with a fine texture and fine narrow brown coloured pith flecks.
